The North Allegheny Inline hockey program was approved as a club sport by the NA school board in 1999. Since then, varying numbers of NA teams have competed in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey League. The inline season runs from September through March, including the playoffs.
Each season, it is our goal to field as many competitive teams as possible. Limited only by available rink time, it is our goal to allow as many students within the NA district to play inline hockey as possible. The program is very lucky to have dedicated volunteer coaches (many are fathers in the program) that run each team, handling communication, practices, and game days for their teams.
In the program's short history, the NA teams have had great success. Most notably, NA won back-to-back Varsity State Championships in the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons.
The program holds tryouts in June for the upcoming Middle, JV, and Varsity seasons. Elementary tryouts are held in September. All tryouts, practices, and home games are played at Robert Morris University's Island Sports Center on Neville Island.
